Hi all, my name is Daan, after an 18 year break (when I was 17 I decided I couldnt care less if a pretend dwarf found an imaginary treasure in a make believe dungeon when there were real girls and real drinks in real bars in town) I picked up miniature painting again last month.
I have uploaded pictures of the first mini I painted recently, the basing is temporary as he is going to be part of a mini diorama. Please do comment. The number is 30944.

Looked at it - good solid 5 in my opinion - highlighting is a little harsh on the figure, but thats about it - waiting to see it on the larger base you are working on

If you are anything like me you will probably find that miniatures and the whole women/bar thing alternate depending upon circumstances at the time:D

Yes, and the fact that I am very happy with my girlfriend and our 2 childeren (third on the way) may have some influence on the women/bar thing also... :D

what was i doing...... ah yes , love the gobo, he look hilarious to me cuz it almost looks like hes wearing diapers. love the paint job too, but it seems the paint is very textured or grainy, not overly smooth, wondering what kinda paints u using? if it was smoother a bit it would be cool. and i think when he\'s on a normal base itll ad to him too. whole thing is, with a character that small the base is a big part of him so that might detract from his score initially.

on-topic I like your snotling, really characterful. Did the mini come like that or have you changed it?

Hi there Daan, nice little figure you have there. I found a bunch of snotlings the other day - I\'d forgotten how damn small they were!

I like your painting - the highlights are kinda like the GW style, nice and bright. I\'m looking forward to seeing the finished diaorama (speelings cr@p LOL)
