i remember when darkfuture was brought out. roughly the same time as bloodbowl second edition. (i might be an old fart but i can remember useless shite like this:D) oh and it was hogsgead publishing that previously had the rights to warhammer fantasy roleplay, they didn\'t know what to do with it as they couldn\'t turn a decent profit so sold it back.

nice pics mate, i went first time round. it looks to have improved imensly.

in reply to tidoco2222, they did have some of the diorama\'s you mensioned, i have pic\'s of several others, such as the horrus vs emperor, but i personaly think that it was crap, the dude used deathwing termies and did bugger-all detail (GS) to the armour, good painting tho...... and there is a lovely one with archaon and his chaos knights attacking an emperial gate house......

if you guys want i could post some pics of these diorama\'s...

and thanks for all the positive feedback, i was afraid of evil messages saying, \"damn you stupid n00b, damn you and you large images..! ha ha ha\":)

I love Warhammer world, and you can\'t fail to be impressed by all the superb gaming tables set in the courtyard- my favourite has to be the bloodbowl stadium its just superb (think of a medieval- style shakespearian open roofed theatre but with an American football* pitch in the middle- fandabbiedozie!

I was a bit miffed with the museum though- its mainly just the studio armies. Although these are jaw dropping theres not nearly as much nostalgia as I would have liked (or as you would expect in a \'museum\'). The store armies and display pieces are really nice too!

I was there in November (for an interview with GW) and they have stopped selling the exclusive Bugmans models then- I believe they will be selling on general release due to the dwarf army book being recently released. Bugmans bar is really cool, theres a flayed dragon skin map of the old world on the wall!

It is a great place but theres not as much as there could (and possibly should)be to do there. I feel you really need to get a couple of games in to make a day of it- or take yer paints and do a bit in store. DEFINATLEY worth a visit though- Do you guys have anything similar in America?

(* I absolutley LOATHE having to call American football \'football\', over here \'Soccer\' is called football cause you actualyplay it with your feet- now theres a crazy limey notion!);)

That is another Mike McVey one. Not sure why you think it is crap. Bear in mind that it was based on the original Adrian Smith black and white artwork, not the new full colour version from the Sabertooth artwork

The freehand painted onto the Emperor\'s armour in that diorama blows me away, and yet it was done way back when this level of detail was not even seen at Golden Demon

Did they have the Wood Elf vs Undead diorama? That has to be my favourite Mike McVey one. His Empire and Lizardmen one was cool too, that was in the cabinets in the store at one point

I\'m almost certain the wood elf diorama is there, with the treeman crushing a skelly! Awesome!

You made an excelent point about Mike Mcveys painting and modelling. It really was way ahead of its time- The guys a pioneer. They also have his \'Space hulk\' Deathwing and genestealers diorama there (i believe pics of this were on the original Space Hulk box)

It was from a GD a few years ago. They used to do one of these \'Mega Displays\' every year. They stopped a couple of years ago. I think the last one was the Gotrek & Felix one with the Dragon in the cave

The siege on the emperors palace was very impressive. I think it had a couple of Titans on it (scratch built, this was before Forgeworld made any titans).

The other one that springs to mind is the undead invading an Empire coastal town. That had a ship in it IIRC.

i stand 5\'10\" and the titans came up to my chest.

paul evans (manager of the manchester gw)is the main crazy man behind the huge titans.

the boards he creates are fantastic, no room for the customers and stock but they look cool.

edit, ok, maybe not my chest, but they were bloody big.

I have been to only one gammer convention. The one outstanting memorey I have is an OLD man, on the floor, pushing a tank around going: \"vroom vroom vroom\". FREAKED me out.
