But what\'s the diference here, Kep? Sophia makes a off and states that it\'s a one-off, while Scibor churns his GW-line minis out and doesn\'t get burned by the man.
I\'m not busting on Scibor, love his stuff and all the more power to him, but this treatment of Sophia doesn\'t seem warrented in light of how others are being treated.
Well... really, you\'d have to ask GW. <g> I\'m just guessing, but here\'s how my logic goes on it.
Far as I know, Scibor just does conversions, not 100% original sculpts. Sophia does a lot of 100% original stuff, and frankly this latest conversion is more original sculpt than conversion -- the addition of wings is a very minor portion of the figure. Remove the wings, and it\'s still a complete figure. Remove the GW parts from Scibor\'s stuff and you no longer have a figure.
If Sophia were to make a conversion where the GW parts were integral to the piece, and she sold it as a conversion, I\'m betting it wouldn\'t be yanked. If this hypothetical auction was also removed, I\'d agree that there\'s a double standard somewhere (might be eBay\'s fault, maybe GW\'s fault, might be some random ass reporting auctions -- who knows).
[EDIT] Oh, and if Scibor does in fact make 100% original stuff and doesn\'t have it get pulled... well, in that case I have no clue what\'s going on. <G> What happened with the Emperor of Mankind figures that that Italian fellow was selling? I think that\'d be a similar situation.
