@Otter:
Oh man, I am from Flanders and now it\'s the first time I realised that this is indeed excellent for the Lions of Alahan, being the \'Lion of Flanders\'...
@Chrispy:
You have to imagine that you have \'normal standard bearers\' (like the Mid-Nor, Griffon or Barbarian one), which are basically used for showing which \'regiment\' they belong to, and then you have the \'bigger than life banners\' (just look at the Alahan and Dirz standard bearers) which are slightly more impressive... Those banners are more the \'army banners\'...
Now the \'standard banners\' are mostly associated with troops of \'Regular\' rank; which means that they can\'t be used in Rag\'Narok in say, elite troops like templars...
So I am still anxiously awaiting the \'elite\' musicians and standard bearers, and of course, the \'Living Legend (army) banner\'...
In Confrontation 1 (the white card version) they released a banner for each army, but they were not thinking about the ranks because Rag\'Narok was still quite far away. Conf 2 (the black card version) already made its step closer to Rag\'Narok where the ranks are more important... So I guess they simply looked at all their standard bearer minis and it is impossible to deny that the Alahan and Dirz ones are the most impressive (actually, a bit big just for a troop of humble warriors or simple clones...). So I guess that\'s why those two banners have a higher rank.
