There is allegedly an alleged rumour that Rackham minis are still basically lead, allegedly. You know, that poisonous stuff that everyone else has abandoned. I don\'t know if this is true, but it would explain a lot:innocent:

It\'s well evidenced by our need for medication and straitjackets. ;)

One thing that has not made it into this thread is prices. Not one soul has yet complained about prices being their least favourite thing. Interesting...

There must be someone with access to a mass spec out there that could find out for us.
I just wear my NBC suit when prepping them:flip:

EDIT: Well, no, actually I just take sensible precautions like washing my hands after use and being careful where filings fall etc.

Almost all old minis were high in lead content so everyone should be careful with anything they are not 100% certain about.

Oh yeah. I\'ve had that happen once or twice. Man, and you ask yourself, \"what am I gonna do with this?\" Because it can be a heck of a lot of work to remedy the problem.

Oh yeah, I\'m with you there. It\'s so nice to watch the depth come out & enjoy the sublties of the mini mixing with the colours as they appear in the wash\'s wake!

:bouncy:

I think the problem is that we tend to buy way more than we need.
How many painters have all of their minis painted, and how many gamers have just the exact number of minis to play with?
Yes, that\'s when this hobby gets pricey :)
