Inspirational Minis

One of the reasons I have started coming here is the fact that there are so many miniatures here that inspire me to paint more.

Probably my favorite right now would have to be Chaplain Tersteegen Black Templar by Vincenti. This is the kind of art that fuels dreams.

I would like to know what inspires others on this site to pursue the hobby. If some of the miniatures here do it for you which ones are they?

All of those are definately great.

I am in awe of those artists, but I can\'t say the inspire me to paint. They inspire me to break my brushes and cry in frustration at thier perfection though....;)

Makes me think why get serious about it, when we could all paint power swords like this!

The mini that inspired me most was Victorias Squabble. I found it on this site and then I started browsing here.

Since then there are so many its hard to nail it down. I like the conversion junkies tho (Im one of them) so I am more inspired by a great conversion than a great paint job.

The most inspirational mini for me is Alexi Z\'s Valten. Closely followed by Cyril\'s Space Marines and Alexi\'s Theoden. Seeing and competeing against the latter miniature was inspiration enough!

I have no idea what the reason for my positive comment was, but I\'m guessing that I was trying to be nice.... :p

I don\'t want to turn this into an Alexi Z fan party, but pretty much anything she posts is inspirational to me. So just choose any pic\'s from her list. I especially like:

Also her fellowship of the ring that took gold this year in Chicago, which I can\'t find posted on CMoN. I have that set and have been waiting to paint it until my skill level reaches the level I want them painted to. After seeing those, I\'m thinking I\'ll be waiting a loooonnngg time.

Yellow Ones work absolutely blows my mind too. Inspirational freehand?

I think this is the best painted mini I have ever seen though:

It never fails to inspire.

They don\'t call him Evilmonki for nothing
Theres too many insperational pieces on here to name! Each one just makes me want to strive harder though...which is good, but may lead to premature hair loss!
My most memorable insperation was Kim Syberg, when I saw his Space wolves army. I think his Ranulf is at the top of the tree if you search \"Wolf Guard\". Very awesome work ^-^.
