Hi, the moment I saw the Forge World GUO I knew I wanted one for my DG army. I preorderd the model as soon as possible, but when it arrived I didn\'t know how to tackle this amazingly detailed and huge mini. Then I saw Pussleberry\'s awesome GUO and I bought an Badger 150 Double Action airbrush :) Did a few tests with it on paper first, but today I used it on a mini for the first time. I\'m really happy with the results, it was really nice working with the AB and is really different than normal handpainting(because you don\'t have contact with the model). It\'s really fast to, took my not even 3 hours to do the entire skin on the model :)

It\'s an absolutely gorgeous sculpt ( in a horryfyingly sick kind of way). I so wish I could justify spending that sort of money to get one... :(

Looks like an excellent start with the airbrushing too - probably a good choice of model to start out on given the size and nature of it - keep us posted with your progress.

More work done on the GUO, the open wounds and the belly this time :) Still have to paint the tiny maggots that crawl in some of the wounds, gotta love FW for their amazing detail! :D

i would normally agree. for proper blood i would add more brown, but he\'s a demon so, why not? it looks quite cool the way it contrasts with the skin - also very nice colour (although i feel it could do with some more highlights to bring out the texture)

I didn\'t wanted to created a blood effect on the wounds and the belly, I would have used Tamiya Clear Red then to created blood(awesome stuff to simulate blood, I will be using it on the sword, around the tongue). I wanted to create a to look of fresh wounds and I like how it turned out :) Hoping to finally score above the 7.0 mark with this minilol

It poses the question: If you were fighting one of these beasties - how would you know if you\'d actually hurt it?? :p

Still need some colour around the pressure sore/rash area on the back/shoulders and a few other spots, but looking good so far :)

To be honest, I wasn\'t 100 % certain that the airbrushed skin looked that good, but now you have started to add detail i take it back and thinks its coming together fantastically!

Love this, and can I have some custard with my humble pie please?;)

your colours are a bit too bright, specifically the red, it really taes away from some other the more subtle/desaturated colours

not bad for a first try though :)

The red is bright, but I kinda like it. It is brighter than you would expect, but it does make the wounds stand out that bit more, which is also cool.

Was wondering if you were going to put some washes on the reds, to perhaps add some depth to th colour?

This is one awesome model.

While it doesn\'t appear to be the usual dull rotten effect of Nurgle (thats not necessarily a bad thing), I really like the vividness of the open wounds. :|~

Finally finished the Big Guy, only the base and Nurlings left to do :) I think I\'ll cover the spine in blood, but I\'ll have to get some Tamiya Clear Red first, as I ran out.

See i love the red very cool and a lovely contrast to the dull greens. When i first saw the thread i wasn\'t sold on the initial colours but in conjuction with the others it looks great

Yeah, some like the red, some don\'t. I really like it, but I\'ll give it a wash of VMC German Cam. Black Brown to darken it up a bit and give a dried blood impression ;)

Maybe i\'m a freak but for me the little details is what really pops out. Like the fingernails and the blood on the blade around his tongue. This is one nasty ugly miniature.:|~
