Yup, i remember either this book, or a book very similar to it that I had several years ago.
It does help, and it is a very good book. You said it very well Garyo, technique and practice will be the biggest part of the puzzle.
My daughter has asked me several times about helping her draw better, I think I will see if I can dig this book out and give it to her. (I wish all parenting were this easy!!lol)
