@ the eldar, burn the filthy thing :D

No, I think maybe go for a glowing blue on the sword, and maybe another couple of shades up on the dress thing.

For the ork, if you have seen the dawn of war intro, there is a flamer boy with glasses and a cigar, maybe check that out for any ideas.

gotcha, lol I was usin him as practice for my ork skin tones thats why he has that nice drab cloak, but I\'m stuck as to what colors to go with it mainly the cone head part. thanks for the feedback :)

A rich, dark purple with harsh highlights would really make it pop. Especially with a blue witchblade

don\'t forget some yellow, i think all eldar love to be seen. they do have their big flashlights (brightlances) after all.

as for how you have done it i just think the white doesn\'t fit with the dark colors. either brightening everything a bit or darken the chest.

I rather like the dark robes with the light bone armour. Along with the purple helmet (snigger), how about painting the fur as a snow leopard pelt? Those decadent pointy eared gits just love their endangered species lol

snow leopard pelts and a purple head startin to sound like space liberache who only had that dull green dress clean lol

This is my opinion on the combination of all other advice that has gone before. Repaint (or just shade) the robes but instead of using a darker green, use dark brown with a touch of green as your shade colour and build it up to whatever level of green you are after. Then using a light brown as your base paint a snow leopard (Grynx) fur neck-warmer-thing by going up to very a light white/grey.
This way the wraithbone chest symbol and helmet can have a base of...brown and build it up to bone. Not sure about other parts but you get the idea. I think it was from a Jakob Nelson article saying he tries to have one colour in all other colours that he uses so that it all blends together.

Eldar are the only race that take interior designers out with their tanks. :D

As the colour scheme is so very much the Beil-Tan try adding some free hand flowers. (By the way this is the very same model I use/reuse for testing different colour schemes/effects before I go \"Weapons Active\" on the real deal.)

Well I now have a Purple-Headed Warlock lol.

I added some highlights to the robe, retouched the eyes, did up some additional bone details, and painted his head, hands and foot trim purple. I\'m figuring on doing yellow gems since they will complement the purple and while I know red is the clssic complement for green I\'ve always thought purple works better besides his leather pouches and belt are a reddish brown. other then that it\'ll be a nice bright blue/white sword blade. lol atleast thats the plan atm.

C&C always welcome.

an DR lol now your really gonna push my limits, I have yet to get any freehand to look anything more then crap but perhaps I\'ll try some stylish flowers once he\'s sealed up that way it\'s easier to clean up lol then he will truly be space liberache :)

thanks for the ideas thus far

well now that makes a world of difference right there!

so are the gems or sword the next step?

and if you really wanted something funky give him paisley print on the robe. lol

hmm... gives me an idea to find an IG with a good coat an make him plaid.

I agree that\'s a big big difference. Good show. Now a little freehand, some throw pillows, and a ticket to San Francisco and he\'s done!

Flowers are surprisingly easy to freehand.

Start with five small blobs of diluted white paint in a close \"star\" pattern. Place a blob of Yellow in the centre. Then when dry strengthen the edges of the White with a little more white. Allow to dry.
Finally take a tiny amount of Flaming Orange and dilute about 30 water to 1 paint and wash carefully over the strengthened White. Viola ....Flowers.

San Francisco....lol
