Finger grease, whats your opinion?

I periodically wash my hands while painting to get rid of any oils(about every hour or so), and then I don\'t have any problems.

I have a series of wood blocks I double face tape my minis down to so I never have to touch the figure or its base while painting.

You can use anything, corks, blocks of wood, old empty paint pots, sewing thread spools.. what ever..the answer is so simple to fix..

I\'ve never heard of anyone picking up a mini and declaring \"EWWWW! Greasy!\"

I think you\'re safe, no matter what.

I just thought of my new business plan:

1. Buy miniatures
2. Fry miniatures in cooking oil
3. ??
4. Profit!

Almost all of the \"grease\" on my fingers comes from the food I\'m eating (as mentioned a couple times) or touching my face. Faces are quite oily, really. Sometimes this is a good thing, free lubricant while sculpting, lol. I don\'t know where else vast amounts of oils would come from. Even when I have sweaty palms I don\'t notice much oil or salt being built up. Of course, everyone is different I guess. If you aren\'t touching anything oily while you paint, then this isn\'t much help, but if you have a chronicly itchy or sweaty nose or forehead, it might be.
