Cheers for the comment on my thread Matt...
What is the \"other\" stuff you wanted me to explain...?
I did the tentacles by leaving a small area of the main surface where I wanted them to go so that I could drill a hole for some wire - which gave the general length and curves of each tentacle.
Once each wire was drilled and glued, I went over them with a sausage of putty (For MY sculpt I used milliput, but you can use anything really)
I thinned the sausage at the end to give the tentacle shape and used a tool to roughly \"smoosh\" (Technical term) the putty to the main body.
Once the putty had started to cure a little and was a little firmer I went over the whole area with a slightly damp tool to smooth it.
(Milliput goes like clay with water, so don\'t use a lot at all)
Once the surfaces were smoothed to diguise the join I used a manky old stiff brush to texture areas where I wanted it to have the same rough, pitted texture as the skin of the main body.
For the suckers on the main tentacles, I first allowed these to completely cure and harden. To make each of the suckers I simply rolled a small ball of putty, lengthened it into an oval, and squashed it against the tentacle to attach it.
I used bigger ovals for the suckers nearer the body.
Once they were attached I allowed them to cure slightly, before using the rounded end of a tool (Depending on the size of the sucker) to press an indent into them.
Hope that helps dude.
