Both are excellent, that griffin rocks. This looks like a decent boxed set at a pretty good price, i think my first set was the bretonnians vs lizardmen which i still have awaiting paint one day, well the lizardmen are anyway.

Thank you dfb, the cyborg demon bust looks really cool too.
I started out FB with the same box, think i never painted em =)
Gave up FB a long time ago, 40k is what first got me in to warhammer so thats my thing.
I actually dont know the price of this box but i'd rather buy that myself than the hardcover rulebook.

These are nice!

Perhaps another tip to try: When you have finished washing and highlighting, then get the lightest silver metalic coulor you have got. Mix it up with water and paint only light refelxes on the edges... so you simulate the highest reflection of the sun on thease edges... so you get easiely more depth...

Only the clanrats and ellyrian reaveres left from the box.
Minis not for personal use, i dont even play fantasy battle. I do hope that someone will use these in a game or two.
Next in line some tyranids, a pile of tyranids. Well only a little pile of 2000 points but i hope i can find some time get some paint on atleast those an leave the rest to gather some dust.

Some new stuff got painted a while ago.

tervigonetu.jpg

Thats my tervigon, did good in the last game pushing out 40 gaunts extra =)

roodlordit.jpg

My broodlords also got some paint while i was at it. The picture is a bit crappy, im sorry.
Painted the greens over a white basecoat using really thin snotgreen and an airbrush.

And i also started a massive construction project, i think my gf is getting a bit worried soon ;)

thunderhaukka3.jpg

The Base is pretty much done, some gap filling and sanding to do.
Maybe ill get to work on the details some time soon, atleast i hope so.
I actually even took some templates of the thing in case i want to make another one some day, im pretty sure the templates save some time if i ever flip out so bad im actually considering another.
Would be nice to get this one primed and ready for the next big gmae around february/march.
See how it goes, maybe i will post some w.i.p shots here someday.
Have fun folks, bye o/

Oh forgot i also made a flying stand for it, stands about 90cm tall.

A fast paint job with very thinned down paints over a white basecoat, managed to get this done over the weekend on 4-5 hours.

That one i built out of plasticard and some other stuff including coctailsticks, the doors dont open coz i got lazy and it would have been too much work.

Any comment about the uglines of the hell pitt abomination are going to be laughed upon.
Mu ha ha ha.
Over an out, have a nice day folks.

some nice work, i like the green mids. The paint work on the abomanation is great. I personaly hate the model. It doesnt flow well enough/look like a blind worm enough for me.

Keep up the good work.

Bu ha hah ha ha. I agree its ugly ass hell ;) If i played FB and skaven i wouldnt get the model even if it was the toughest shit in the game.
Now i got the stormraven on my desk with a basecoat, going to do a fast paintjob for that too. The model doesn't actually look as bad as in the first pictures i saw on the interweb but its still a bit small and funny.
For the emperor ;)

That rat creature is disturbing. The paint makes it even more so!

Really like that drop pod, that's an impressive bit of work.

the Skaven stuff is looking quite good.
White base coat with thinned paint huh, may have to try that out.

What is the yellow stuff that your using for the scratch built stuff, foamcore?

Thank you, ive been trying to do a decent job on the skaven.
On the abomination i brushed some elf flesh over the white base and then went crazy with washes and colours, it seems it worked out nicely.
The yellow stuf is polystyrene a.k.a plasticard that i get from a local shop, the yellow one is 3mm thick but on the drop pod above i used 2mm and 1mm sheet.
Good stuff for all kinds of stuff ;) i have also used it to make some bases for my models and scenery and the basic structures for some bigger buildings and my stompas.
I wish i could build the thunderhawk a bit further but it seems i dont have time for now, or that my priorities arent right =)
Next im going to make that storm raven look bad, trying to achieve that in less than 4 hours, its good to have goals?

Boom, got the raven of my desk.

Tried to make look like it's been in a battle or two. Works nice when viewed from a little distance, not so good upclose but no means bad i think.
Again painted over a white basecoat to save a lot of time, didnt manage the 4 hour goal thou.
This raven like the abomination is not for my personal collection of gaming minis.
For myself i got an ork weirdboy on the line and pretty much done, just gotta find the inspiration to finish it off. Nice miniature with a lot of stuff, too much stuff over stuff almost =)
Thanks for looking and good day folks.

Thanks Cassar. I wasnt so sure myself if they work when i was painting.

Managed to get the weirboy painted, now it just needs those two grots to try hold him down.
The weirdboy is actually gonna be one of ork armys HQ choices (Hes so random i love it), i went a little bit too far with the painting.
It was supposed to be a decent and quickly over with paintjob for the gaming table, but the model is so nice i couldnt/cant resist myself.

I would love some critic/bashing and all kinds of comments on this one.
Maybe ill manage to totally f#¤k it up with the remaining piece with the grots, quite pleased with it myself so far. Hmm, dropping it a few times could also work.
Have a nice day folks.

Edit: Btw if anyone has any tips about using canon EOS 400D with miniature picturing, let me know. Sometimes i manage to get a good photo, but usually they suck. Anyways they could be better i think.

Finished another one, maybe ill manage to finish the weirdboy after this.
The new death company dreadnought. Tried to keep the painting close to the GW pictures, with a few shortcuts.
Did some basic freehand on the right "shoulder" and the right footplate?? =)

nice painting dewil, that wierdboy is indeed one cool miniature. if youre anything into experimenting with orkskin i can recomend to use dark red and/or purple in the shading, colour variation when painting skin is always a good thing you know :)

neat dread too

Damn you! Now im seriously tempted to give it a try, just when i was about to get it done =P will see if i have the patience.

Finally the weirdboy is done.
Those grots are going to have a hard time holding him down now, or maybe they will have a laugh when he splatters his brains all over ( i think that will be happening alot ) the field.

The weather outside sucks!
Thats why i stay inside and paint almost too much i think.
I'we been clearing my workstation from some unfinished and new stuff, but this one has been unfinished for the longest.
I kinda got stuck on the sword that i cant seem to get to work. Im trying to get a glowy blue magical power weapon of the awesomeness feeling to it.
The miniature itself is going to be pretty dark so i think the sword should be too. I did finish it before but it was too bright and didnt work.
Now im strugling again with it, everything else is pretty much tought off and i just want to get a good finish on the damn sword before i move on.

sickchaplain.jpg

Im sure that some of you have the experience with that kind of stuff, and it would be nice if someone could point out what is the main problem or how i could do something better with it.
Thank you wery much.
Im off to stare that thing in despair, tuduluu o/
