Yeah, I\'ll just keep going with the details and see how it goes. That\'s really all it\'s lacking (since it\'s still WIP and all ;) )...

Hopefully more progress this arvo!

OK! Here\'s the deal....

I tried to pull the gun off. I tried to remove the barrel. I TRIED. AND TRIED. AND PUFFED AND PANTED AND TRIED AGAIN!!!

But it won\'t come off.

Here\'s the weird bit, I broke the superglued area where it adheres to the body, and the entire cannon spins. BUT IT WON\'T COME OFF!!!!! :O

SO! That leaves me with the original cannon and needing to work with what I have. I\'ve been playing with the design and the \"prettying\" up of it all day and I\'ve come up with something that\'s not too bad. The only complaints I have are that the cannon is probably too long now...so I tried to remove it to shorten it.

It won\'t come off. I tried to wedge it off. All the plastic areas AROUND the cannon started to fracture. So I stopped. HMPH!

But I think I\'ve made something half decent, lemme know what you reckon.

That is awesome. The gun looks extremely chaos-like now. You have merged the man with the machine very well and it really comes together.

A lot of detail on that model, just wouldnt want to be the person having to paint that beast!

Cant wait to see it with a bit of paint on it :D

Nailed it! Looks great! To enforce whats been said, all it needs now s a paintjob (a good one) amd voila you got yourself a one and only Masterppiece! Good luck with the painting...

I\'ve played around with the barrel a little, what I did was inserted a cone into it and shaped it in greenstuff, to give the impression of large bore rifling. I didn\'t reduce the bore size by more than a mil, but I did add the riflings, like the cannons on a battleship. Adds nicely to the cannon\'s feral destructive appearance I think.

Now to work on a colour scheme. At least I have all weekend to think about it. I was leaning toward sort of Iron Warriors with a smidgeon of slaaneshi influence, but man. Colours. What to do. My original thoughts are to go with black undercoat, black painted areas and then Orange-Yellow and black warning chevrons across large areas like the arm plates and such. And then weather them up, down, left and right and give it a right dirty rusted look.

But if anyone else can come up with a better idea, I\'m all ears! I might have to have a look at some event horizon images at the colours used in that. Or even a look at matrix type stuff....but all matrix is basically raw metals in gunmetal colours. Actually, I kinda have the same problem with the Talos conversion I\'ve done as well. I can\'t decide on colours on that one and it is still sitting on the shelf!!!!

Actually, if I go with the black and darker colours, the daemon host will stand right out with it\'s pinks and fleshtones and such. And perhaps even some other more contrasting tones to help it draw the eye to the centre. Hmmm....mebe...

I agree with you on that. This has Iron Warriors written all over it... though if you do it all silver it would ruin it, so I would still do the chevron markings with black armour but a lot of silver to make sure it still looks more like an IW rather than a Black Legion bastard child...

And together:

How\'s that look? I\'ve got an old rhino in the mix, and it\'s sitting that way to make it look like it\'s melting and sliding down deeper, I\'ll build up around it a bit to make it look like it\'s melting. Or it looks like an eruption of stone, magma and ... stuff ... occurred and buried it, whatever, i couldn\'t do it the other way around otherwise it\'s hard to work out what it is.
