Since I followed the forums for quite a while now as a silent reader, I decided to show some of my own stuff that I'm currently working on.
I like the active and big community here and I hope to learn and improve my painting skills as well as my english (it's not my native language but I watch most TV-series and stuff in english but I rarely speak or write it myself so please bare with me)
I'm painting miniatures since round about 13 years with a lot of breaks in between but recently bought the Warhammer Quest: Shadows over Hammerhal box and really got hyped about painting again.
The first miniature I picked was the dwarven cog smith. I usually don't like dwarfes that much but this one looked quite interesting and so far it's really fun painting it.
I usually try to achieve a clean comic style look (one reason for that might be the fact that I can't paint TMM but I really like the clean look as well).
The miniature has got a lot of metal surfaces and metal details so it is a really good training opportunity for NMMs.
To lead the attention more towards the head of the mini I choose to paint the shoulder plates with the blue that was used for the cloth. I also thought that to much metal might look a bit booring.
Critics, tips and comments are always welcome.
