Its sad that fellowes were stiffed over, but ultimately these companies have caused job loss to the american people and the chinese workers are paid next to nothing and get ripped off. Maybe its time some big companies brought the businesses back home.....

Exactly! These companies don't hesitate in laying off loyal British and American workers, in order to minimise costs in the short term. Perhaps if a few of them get bloody noses the rest might think twice. I'd love this to happen to Dyson:D

China does have a lot of our jobs and when our unemployment is so high where is the loyalty of the companies to the country they have their head office in. Business is business many will say, and I guess that is true if the difference in final profit is big enough. But if that difference in profit is not so big hopefully this incident will serve as a cautionary tale for them. I remember on my holiday to china on trips to some of the markets people were discussing how much they managed to barter for and save. I didnt buy much myself, but on doing conversion sums at the stalls the first price I normally got offered was still very good anyway and I had the money so I paid it. A simple little bit of charity to your fellow man is my point and when the economy is up the shitter the big companies need to be much less mercernary where possible in order to guide the economy back on track. If they dont there wont be anyone to buy their products anyway.

It's going to be interesting to see how these mega-corps react when the house of cards falls. They've always been about the dollar, but this ever-increasing pursuit of the next quarter's profits is going to end in tears.
