Chaos Giant WIP < including some sculpting >

The votes have been counted and verified and I can now tell you the next project I will be doing is the giant. < add sounds of cheers and boo\'s >

Ok so I have seen too much big brother this week, that aside going to try the giant.


I will do a chaos one first, for only one reason, so I can try to convert it and do alittle Green stuff. Also think it will be great for me to learn how to paint skin and get better at blending.

So thanks for the input, and this is where I am at moment.

Any feedback is also most welcome, after seeing some of you guys and girls sculpting you made it look so easy, well its not lol

Just wondering what you have in mind for the neck.
Me, I\'d do something rather simple, like a stubby tentacle.

For the neck I would suggest, a stalk that get\'s thinner with a smaller head on the end.

Looking good so far, damn good first shot at sculpting, think I\'m jealous
Don\'t forget to smooth out the joints.
And if I may offer a sugestion for the skin, get yourself an paint set from Andrea, that thing is amazing for skin.

Thanks for the feedback, I am having a real hard time using GS, so hard to get smooth, I have tons to learn about sculpting thats for sure.

Updated Pic, not 100% happy with the base and that may get redone.

The rest of the effects on the skin will be painted on, a tattoo on the back, some spots and some major bursing.

Also work had gone slow due to a Doom diver I have been building, its looking good, here are some pic\'s of it...

The idea is its a hot air balloon with a doom diver strapped to the underside of the basket, when over the target the 2 gobbos cut the robe and the doom diver is released, the 3 night goblins at the side are holding it down until the right time to be released. I am quite pleased with it so far, just got the parts to make the balloon, so will get cracking on that soon.

the doom diver idea is really sweet more pics as it progresses please..

To help get GS smooth get yourself a colour shaper or clay smoother. Basicly a brush handle with a rubber tip come in all sorts of hapes and sizes but a chisel tip is generally most useful.
I use a light spraying of a light cooking oil for lubrication or good old H2O. Try and avoid vaseline as a lot of people mention as it is a pain to clean off.
