cadwallon.com, what are they?

These are metal, they are just 7 grams lighter? If they are recasts they are the BEST I have ever seen. I have been stuck with recasts before(I should not ebay half awake) and they are usually awful. These have virtually no seam lines... so I am not sure if they are recasts are not.

that sounds pretty good, now I just have to find a source for prepainted plastics. Almost my whole rams army is metal. I used to be able to get them at Valhallas, but they are gone.

I was able to strip some of the paint off the plastics with isopropyl alcohol but there is some left, going to drop them in pinesol next, failing that simple green.

They are. Just done correctly.

Blasphemy sir :p they are almost impossible to find :D
nah, I see a quite a lot of them in the corner. And by that I mean something like:
- 24 archers, 42 guards, 18 paladins, 12 knights and extras (standards, musicians, agents of chimera, characters) and this was only the lion part that I don't really care about.

Finding Lions of any kind is a pain around here. Hard as hell.

I’m new to the site and haven’t played for quite some time. Is it worth it to start collecting again and playing Hybrid, and Confrontation 3.5?

As far as Cadwallon, I recently started reading the book of Cadwallon RPG game. Very confusing, and pretty cool all at the same time.

sorry to say, but the answer is no.
Confrontation, Hybrid and CadwallonRpg (not to mention the AT-43 and it's rpg like extension) are all basically dead.

The Confrontation Classic KS would have been a chance, but it was mostly a scam.
In Theory they did deliver some of the promised resin (like the dragon for 150 euro, that I bought from CMON during the last black friday for 70), but most others are unknown and highly unlikely to ever ship.
Unlikely, because they got 400k in the KS, but have been going for like 2 years with 5+ people in the company (meaning if it all would go to wages they'd get 40k/year) so either they live from that money and do nothing (seems to be the case) OR they would have to create and ship metal minis for about 1usd (250+ for each of the 1200-ish backers + postage fee for all of them).

tl;dr
The old conf minis are nice for painters and collectors, but are mostly unusable for gaming as there are little/no conf players and without the minis it's impossible to get new ones.

I have a the Confrontation starter set, with additional Wolfen, Griffin, and Scorpions. Recently my girlfriend and I played the starter set with 3.5 rules and like it.

Id like to play a higher point army’s. What’s a good point army to play 300-400 point games? We are not using the deep magic yet, but we are using all the special abilities on the figures card.

Thanks for your input.

any army performs good in 300 or 400pt. 3.5 is/was usually played with 400 though.

Just beware of summoning (2+ priests that can summon sylvan animae/Ira Tenebrae) and sacred heavy(alahan paladins, griffin inqusition) armies. Use them once and it will be a good laugh, use them more and you soon have noone to play with.
Also older profiles are totally not in balance with the new ones. For example Griffin Cairn 3 in magic, 41pt , Daikinee Shaenre 4 in magic, 33pt (so 25% more powerful while 25-30% cheaper). Or within Griffin Templar 22pt Att/Str 3/4, Templar Brother 25pt Att/Str 4/6 (the +2 Str is a huge improvement for 3pts)

Max, you are very keen to the game with great information. As to having no one to play with, TTG here in Wheeling West Virginia USA is scarce as is. Lots of Magic players and FFG X-Wars players here. So it’s just myself and my girlfriend at the kitchen table in spare evenings.

I found Rackham games back in 2006 when I lived in Cincinnati Ohio. AT-43 was my game that was played heavily there, as well as Confrontation 3.0. I miss AT-43 bad. I thought it was an amazing game when played fair with tweaked rules here and there. You probably remember some of the guys that played in Cincinnati Ohio.

Do you have any other links that you recall that are still out there on the web that I can read more about confrontation?

It’s my first post here. Just can’t pass this thread. I was a big fan of Rachkam in old days. Until they didn’t drop original metal confrontation and switched to pre-painted plastic. The funny thing that we started playing Confrontation 3.0 after very long break. Last game was 300pts Cadwallon militia vs Dwarfs of Tir-Na-Bor. It was really good. I tried a lot of different game systems since Rackham death but I still thinks that Confrontation was one of the best. I can recommend end the following resources:
https://cadwallon.com/rulebooks-and-cards/ (scans of all cards)
http://underthemountainblog.com/ (info about all miniatures)
https://confrontationpills.altervista.org/cry-havoc-confrontation-magazine/?lang=en (Cry havoc scans)
I almost didn’t play AT-43 in old days but bought some armies (Oni, Therians, Red block, UNA) on ebay for very good price recently and want to try it now. I prefer 3.0 rules for Confrontation because that magic and shooting was strong enough and they made it even stronger in 3.5.

those altervista books/CH-s are funny. Saying that scanning them was a lot of work while they only downloaded them. :D

hmm, this thread reminds me to focus more on painting this year, especially the few missing figures for a 100% painted Vile-Tis and Ophidian army and maybe try to get the Daikinees painted.

Did you scan them? By the way I have all Cry Havoc magazines, Cadwallon book and Secret Volume 1(with Master screen) (wanted to buy 2 but it's only in French and it was too expensive). Of course Hybrid with extension. Still playing it from time to time.
Have you tried to play Rag'narok (2003)? We tried it once in old days but rules were too unclear. It was pretty bad at that time. I'm just thinking if it's worth to try it again.

Legopon, I wish we lived closer lol. I’d love to drag out my AT-43 gear again, or even get my hard hitting Wolfing starter army out and do some 3.0 Confrontation.

Yes. Now it's difficult to find somebody to play with. Only couple of friends and my kids).
I still remember old days with 30+ people Confrontation community. Regular tournaments and e.t.c. I think Confrontation was more popular than whfb and 40k at some points but these days are old gone.
AT-43 was never really popular here. Most of the people were disappointed in switching from metal to pre-painted plastic and it was completely dead when they dropped Confrontation 3.0 and made Confrontation: The Age of the Rag'Narok (which I've never tried). I personally think that AT-43 is very good game system and the best pre-painted plastic of all time. But I still prefer Confrontation.)
