you could also consider army painter wargamer brushes. cheap and good. i just picked up 5 for 25 bucks including shipping off ebay.
considering how fast most of us destroy brushes i would not go with windsor and newton

meh, for 4 bucks each i can afford to destroy them. IMO looking after it will only take you so far, either way it's going to wear out. and it's not like army painter detail brushes are bad either. durable, great point, retains shape. theyre made of high quality sable.
i keep reading W&N are a mixed bag.
rosemary and co ones are about the same price depending on which series you go for.
