I was at Baltimore, let me see how much I can remember. The Slayer Sword went to 17 year old Adam Cromwell and there\'s a couple of pics of the mini here (along with other minis from GD):

Brett DeWald won 5 demons in various categories (including a beautiful unit that took Gold, a fantastic Pegasus Knight that took Gold, and a lovely Galadriel that took Silver - I forget his other entries, sorry!). NYC_mini-painter\'s own Jin Lee took a bronze in LotR Monster (a fantastic Witchking on Fellbeast conversion), and Zach Lanier (aka Molebrain on CMoN) took a Gold, Silver, and Bronze in LotR single (Orc shaman), Warhammer Unit (Dark Elves) and Battle Scene (Empire vs. Lizardmen) respectively. Can you tell I am biased towards our group? :) There was some fantastic stuff there, but having the Demons split up amongst 4 locations does bring down the number of quality entries a bit... anyways, hopefully GW will have the official coverage up soon...

I talked with the guy who painted the minotaur, it was an absolutly fantastic miniature and i was really surprised it didnt place. Some of the miniatures that placed surprised (the tau for instance) because I thought there were much better ones than that. My guy didnt even make first cut but that is ok :>

There was tough competition. Neither of my entries made it into first cut, but I still have many years to improve. My personal favorites was the Nurgle Demon with light up eyes. I am very happy that Adam Cromwell won the sword (even though im pretty jelous). It goes to show that us younger painters can have a shred of talent. I still have 2 years until im his age though. One thing that surprised me was that most of the power houses werent there. Jason Richards who brought home alot of GDs last year didnt enter anything. And im just curious, does Bobby Wong not even enter any GD because he knows he would win?
