I've also always wanted to paint an aliens figure... (I'm a big fan of Alien and Predator movies) and I resisted buying these for quite a while, but finally I've failed.

Miniatures are from prodos games AvP Bug Hunt the predator one is from Predator Eldars. Minis are unicasted with base so there are some issues with multiple mold lines.

The predator is one from the Unicast Elder Predators pack. Alien from the Unicast Alien Warrior pack.
Both look great.

would you mind sharing how you painted the alien / what colors you used for them?

Alien:
airbrush black primer
airbrush light ghost grey
airbrush light ghost grey + white
black wash
blue glaze (guilliman blue)
edge highlight fenrisian grey
head was painted black and glazed with mcrage blue towards top then painted with gloss varnish

If it is shifted all across the mini, request a refund. Otherwise you could hide it with blood and gore.
