Man you lot are useless, a load of that stuff is out there already! (immortal knows it!)

Hasslefree does make loads of cool miniatures (I really like their Scooby Doo gang and the Shaun/Ray figures) but I need symmetry when I field a game. Right now there isn't enough known about the scale of the Zombicide figures to start grabbing up minis from this manufacturer and that. Not too mention as nice of some of your examples are they would prove to be quite a jarring contrast to the Zombicide sculptures by comparison. I'm not saying there not fine sculptures but there are obvious differences in sculpting/art styles.

Painting ability plays a pretty big factor in all of this as well. A good paint job on a so-so sculpt can make a world of difference. Just as a poor paint job can hide all the detail on an excellent sculpt. My painting skills are for lack of better term "subpar" so if I couldn't do a sculpt justice I would prefer to leave it unpainted. That being said I am in the same boat as Matt when it comes to picking up miniature based games. I weigh the quality of sculpts/mini almost as heavily as game play when choosing.

Right now quite a few of these are just our way of testing the waters to see how receptive CMoN and GG are to suggestions regarding future survivors/game scenarios.

Still I'm probably going to end up buying the "Dynamic Ray" and "zombie Ray" figures because they would fit into the theme so well. I just hope they will fit in scale wise.

I second the Bruce Campbell character.

In fact you could a whole expansion with the Male Characters being Campbelesque.

A LARPer (Autolycus from Xena)
Old Fat Elive (Bubba Ho-Tep)
Hawaiian shirt wearing washed out spy (Burn Notice)
Astronaut Who's returned to Zombie Invasion (Alien Apocalypse)
Guy Who plays cowboy in Theme Park (Brisco County Jr)
One Handed Shotgun totting Store clerk (Ash - Evil Dead/Army of Darkness)
High School Gym Coach (Sky High)

But I've got two words for you all. Snake. Pliskeen.

Yessssssss Snake Plisken would be the man!

We've seen some requests for mascot survivors so I thought up a couple of my own:
A Ronald McDonald based survivor/zombie (clowns are creepy for a reason)
The Burger King type survivor/zombie (so creepy yet so cool)

What about the Fonz as a survivor? There's already probably a good figure out for that... but he'd still be a fun one.

the game lacks some survivour kids , typical: nasty little girl , cowboy hayboy, oriental geek...

and would be nice to get animal tokens (or figures)

Bloody hell! I would have loved the thriller zombie. Would have been a great ode to MJ and the groundbreaking Thriller music video.

I've no idea why, but I actually like the idea of a gun toting, zombie killing, Sarah Palin. I think it would work as a miniature.

Of course then we'd need to balance things out with an Obama zombie hunter, as well as the obligatory alternate Zombama miniature.

Personally I'm voting for a character based on Betty White's character from Boston Legal.

Personally, I think that idea is full of so much win, that it would be a crying shame if they did not make it.

A generic geriatric female character that I can imagine being a hardcore betty White is a fabulous idea.

Make it happen, Guillotine Games. Post Haste!

Posted this up on comment section on the Kickstarter.

We have the following archetypes/homages:

Small-town Sheriff (Phil) > Rick Grimes, Walking Dead
Office Worker (Doug) > William Foster, Falling Down
Goth Chick (Amy) > archetype
Street Thug (Josh) > archetype
Conspiracy Nut (Ned) > archetype
Restaurant Worker (Wanda) > archetype
Bad Cop (Nick) > John McClane, Die Hard
Action Star (Chaz) > Chuck Norris
Badass (El Cholo) > Machete
Geek (Dave) > Sheldon, Big Bang Theory
Hitman (Marvin) > Jules, Pulp Fiction - silencer on pistol?
Assassin (Eva) > Beatrix / The Bride, Kill Bill
Tough Chick (Claudia) > archetype, possibly Ridley (Aliens)
Socialite (Ivy) > archetype
Warrior (Cardboard Tube Samurai) > archetype
Everyman (Troy) > Ash, Evil Dead

What we need:

Soldier / Mercenary > possibly Dutch (Predator)
Hunter / Veteran > archetype, think Bill (Left 4 Dead)
Slacker > archetype, think Shaun or Ed (Shaun of the Dead)
Engineer / Construction > archetype - open doors without making noise / lock open doors?
Tough Granny (named Ethel, Rose, Edna, or Hazel) > archetype
Zombie Killer > Tallahassee, Zombieland
Cheerleader > Buffy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Jock / Tough Guy > archetype, think Biff (Back to the Future)

What would be hilarious:

A monkey with knives or grenades

While I appreciate cameos for promo figures, I don't want GG to simply start pushing every movie character ever into the game just because someone thinks it'd be cool. I'd much rather they design expansions working from "what do we need now" and simply make it iconic - we can figure on our own who the survivors are to us.

Promos, though? Sure, have fun! GG are also, it seems, pretty good at picking unpredictable but cool cameos for promo figures, and I'd rather they not ditch that and simply produce whatever survey says. I think the KS had nine GG choices and one fans' choice (Troy - who possibly got named after the paragon of entitled fan demands, if you guys didn't get it): that feels about right.

Edit: Everything Adam named that wasn't a specific movie character, I'm really excited about. Except the monkey.
