Sebastian from Hasslefree

As soon as I saw this mini by Hasslefree, I visualised this little diorama. The NMM was a little odd to paint whilst trying to consider the lightsource I had to paint over it. The NMM colours were German Grey, Imperial Blue and Cold Grey. The lightsource colours were Scarlet, Light Orange, Deep Yellow and a little white. I used the same colours for the walls too. I like the effect of the shadow...it reminds me of Nosferatu. The diorama was built entirely from layers of cork tile. The paving flags were individually cut out and 'layed'. I really had fun doing this and on the whole am pleased with the outcome.

Tony Manero
very nice but the shadow is totally wrong and the fire is upside-down

Great work! Only one or two criticisms... the torch wouldn't cast a shadow, and the torch is above his head, so the shadow would be distorted down. *scrunch* Love your work on his face!

Bloody marvelous! Really great little scene and very clever with the lighting. Nice to see something different done with the lightsource effect :D As for this being photoshopped, absolute bollocks. You can see it's painted and an excellent piece to boot :D
