Fred Colon - Discworld
An entry into the Iron Painter comp. The theme being 'My Hero'. The Watch are always keen for new recruits to run the gauntlet of Ankh-Morpok. With all the training they can muster and no end of on-the-job experience to be had - a good grounding in the ways of the copper is essential. It is the task of good ol' Sergeant Fred Colon to show this young rookie the ropes... this will, no doubt, involve being miles away from any kind of trouble, the locations of the best out-of-the-way places for a crafty smoke and anything else that doesn't require breaking a sweat. As heroes go, Fred Colon is difficult to beat
