My much better Elf Ranger

I like this one better. Sure, the highlights are kinda bold, but they work in normal, non-scanner light, please rate...

I wish my first 5 minis looked that good. When I began painting I didn't know How to highlight. You seem like you are off to a great start, and if you keep trying you will get better.

This mini is in fact an improvement from the previous one. However, to be honest it's till not up to RAF standard. I believe you are a young painter full of ambition to be a great mini painter one day. You are lucky to be in this hi tech age where you have internet and stuffs to get all the info you'll need to improve your skills. Try looking at other's work who has a higher ranking than yours. Ask yourself why is that better and learn from there. The best painters here had put in years of hard work to be who thery are today.

I would avoid using red, blue and green all in the same model. If you want to avoid making the robe look pink, add yellow instead of white to your red paint for highlights. I don't think you need to paint highlights on the front of the robe in between his legs, because in reality this part of the person would be in shadow. The two biggest problems I have with this model are the base and just the overall colour scheme.
