Really nice painting style and color choice! I think rebasing the figure with a base containing more texture would help this model out greatly. It is too good to settle for static grass.

Good contrast - striking really. What keeps this figure from being a 10? Smoothness on the color transitions, and additional freehand details. Address that and you have a winner - great facial expression btw!
