Kobalt the Caustic

Great mini to paint. I'm pleased with the way the copper NMM came out and also the verdigris effect. I'm also quite pleased with the steel NMM, particularly around the chest area. I wanted to paint this in a more muted colour scheme, so I opted to tone down the skin to a more olive colour as opposed to the brighter green. The base is made from cork with v shaped grooves cut by a scalpel and then filled with pva and sand. Any comments are welcome Cheers! :)

My favorite of your gallery. You have really got the "Rackham style" down. The NMM is a class above, with beautiful weathering in the rust and verdigris. It's something i've been meaning to try but it's hard to get my head round trying such a different style. The level of detail is exeptional with the check work on his carapace and the alarm clock on his back. And is that a bloodshot eye?? OMG! A pretty much faultless mini. Congratulations on an awsome paint job. Cheers, Dom
