Typhus - converted

A bit of a conversion job on good ol' Typhus. I'm pleased with the way the figure turned out. I am especially pleased with the rust and verdigris on the blade of the scythe. I wasn't too keen on the original head and wanted to replace it with something to change the figure's proportion slightly. In all a great mini to paint and one of GWs better efforts of late.

This surely deserves more than 7.8!! If only they did .5s - I wanted to give this an 8.5 but, hell! you may as well round up! Typhus, for me, has to be one of the best GW over the last 18 months and this conversion is great. I personally feel that the head really does suit the miniature. Given the fact that Typhus is in fact a plague and he 'crawls' into his armour the deformed and incoherent head works well with this notion. The base elevates him and is a nice edition - especially the drain pain! Also, I like how the weapon has been exaggerated and has a skeleton (!) hanging from it. The paint job is great and there's great attention to detail and smooth shading. Great stuff :)

Lovely figure other than the head...I hate that head!! (Just doesn't suit my delicate sensibilities). Wouldn't getting attacking by him suck? Not only do you get skewered, but also pummeled by a rotting...thing...ick!
