Wizard from Wizards
And here, kids, is a lesson for you in priming. Another of my early pieces (before I suddenly didn't paint for something like a year), and before I learned anything about blending, but was starting to begin to handle a brush pretty well, this piece is a cautionary tale about what can happen if you botch up a spray-primer job. The well-trained eye will notice that the whole thing looks grainy. That's due to the spray-primer being kind of old and not shaken up enough. The particles dry on the way to the mini, and apply a kind of fuzz all over. I painted him up well enough, and he's only got one little flaw that I can see after all this time, but that grittiness always got on my nerves. Never again, friends.
