My CCIV entry. It's a really quick and simple paintjob because I'd just finished my Bretonnian princess (an exhausting job) and needed something to relax. So I settled on a color scheme and painted the first of my gaming minis, and entered it in the CC because I really wanted to participate, if only with an 'ok' mini. Next time I'll do better ;).

Really! Some of you guys who are terrific painters need to hold off on criticizing your own work. It really makes us newbies feel like we should throw our stuff in the trash. It's outstanding, and I absolutely love the color scheme (which moved it from 9 to 10).

Update : Yay, I won in my category ! I suspect it was a close call though, because the mini that came in 2nd was a real beauty.

Wow. I like how the "simple" color choice unifies the figure. The highlighting is wonderful. The only things holding me back from voting it a 10 are the reddish tones on the face, especially around the mouth, and the lack of definition in the bronze/copper bits on the pick.
