I don't want to be too mean here, but I see a lot of things that need improvement. First, that gloss varnish isn't helping your cause at all, try to get a hold of a matte varnish instead. Second, there appears to be very little shading and highlighting, minis at this scale need some real help in order to look good. The base itself actually look pretty good, but you need to work on some of the fundamentals of shading and highlighting...
