Papa Noigul's Carnival 3 (Golden Demon Germany 2013 Bronze Diorama)
To create some distinctions in painting I used crackle effects and blacklight colors for all glowing parts like the flame (this paint shines bright as hell in the sunlight compared to normal acrylics). For other special effects I used normal acrylics: the tiny marionettes in the wagon are painted on some thick paper and the whole background had to be painted too. The most fun to paint were all the decaying effects, though I know some parts of the diorama are rushed (which is no wonder for my time management on this piece and starting painting shortly before GD). ^^ The Demonette-acrobat needed some time to build as I had to remove most of the armour to achieve a look as if she is wearing a tight performing dress. Maybe it was not the best decision to place her in the last row (were nobody sees her), but the concept was from the beginning to have the jester in front. I painted her backside with squares as well though. Maybe I ad later some Photos of the warband without the diorama, as all miniatures are removable (except the Nurglings which are on top of the building of course). The 19th century box of marionettes theme has of course the great Papa Noigul himself added as a painting on the backside (not visible on GD) who pulls the strings. Or does he? ;) Greetings to all the people I met on GD, it was a cool time! Comments are welcome ^^ Please visit my other uploads for more pictures of this diorama. I accept commissions.
