Dirty Meg Diorama
"The Dog Ate My Engine!" A diorama of a female mechanic working on a futuristic engine -- she turns around to find that her dog has taken a bite out of the engine. IRON PAINTER 8 - Round 1 Theme "Start Your Engine" Kitbashed engine and engine workstand from Games Workshop bits, a few various mechanics tool chests and boxes from my bits boxes, and a pooch I have had on my work table for awhile and can't remember who gave that to me. Green tubing is brass rod etched with my clippers. The mechanic is Dirty Meg from Privateer Press, a mercenary privateer solo. Base is hex mdf painted as metal sheeting. Model on the engine is IP8-1, for the Iron Painter competition. This competition pits two painters against each other, giving a theme and two weeks to complete an entry and upload online. The entries are judged and the winner moves on to the next round. Currently ongoing, just completed Round 5, the semi-finals, and waiting for judgement to see if I make it into the Finals. This model won my first round in this year's IRON PAINTER 8 competition.
