Frost Maiden

This is my first submission, please be gentle... :) I've been painting for years, but only recently decided to learn to "do it right." The sword here is my first attempt at a gradient blend, and I'm still deciding how I best like to do a lot of things. I'd love to have some constructive criticism on this.

Really I'd give you a 6.5 but the boots.... The face is lovely, nice doe like eyes and the sword and gemstone well excecuted. Just can't forgive what you did to the Narns:)

The sword looks great (I like the way it mirrors the colour of her clothes) and the skin is good, too. It might be the picture but it looks like the hair, boots and blue cloth are a bit flat. The snowy base sets it off very nicely and I'd say this is high tabletop quality.

Thanks, KatieG. I am aware of the "flatness" of the boots and mantle. They actually look better in person than they do in the photo, but I agree I could have done more with them. I'll try the suggestion for the tattoo...I haven't been doing tattoos long, and wasn't sure how to acheive the effect you describe. I'll just say for now that this is a fresh tattoo... :)
