Chaos World Eaters Standard

Another old school metal World Eater marine (same type as the champion in fact, before conversion) I made the standard to match the one from an old White Dwarf cover painting (I think that painting actually inspired me to collect World Eaters in the first place). It was drawn out first then painted over and bent into shape. The standard form is made of aluminium tubing with a top made of plastic card with plastic rod rivets. I sculpted the skull at the crosspiece and I added some spikes and chain later to spiffy it up a bit more.

Excellent, one of the best I've seen. I especially appreciate the description of how you made this, because as a new modeler and painter, it's nice to know how to try to emulate people I admire.

Love the old school! Very nice job Rob (as always). I would like to see the original WD cover painting though. Any change you could scan it and place it in the next posting? Would like to see how well it matches the real thing.
