Guardian Angel
My first "serious" attempt at painting anything beyond tabletop quality. It was definitely a learning experience. I learned my reds are darker than I expected, good wings can't be rushed, and am getting less afraid of contrast in highlights. I was pleased with the base, though. I wanted a base that was equally as dynamic as the sculpt's pose and envisioned a slab of granite jutting out of the earth. I think it's a close facsimile.
