Mordheim Vampire ( VC )
This was an old Manfred Vampire I found a few days ago, I was looking at it alot and felt I should finaly paint him up, I decided to modify his sword a little, I felt that all the barbs on it were a little too much,so I filed some of them down and gave the sword in his hand a more "natural" twist on it to make it look like he will strike fast at any second. I am not too fond of his one arm pose...it sorta give off some power to him,but is a little too stiff for my tastes....oh well. You cannot see much of it due to the lighting,but his black clothing has alot of subtle dark blue blending and I used some glazes, I felt that if I left it too flat with just the final blends it would make his clothing look a little too...used. Because of their nobility I wanted to give his outfit more of a "satin sheen" look to it.but at the same time trying to keep it less "poofy"...I think the reds turned out realy nice,especialy the darker areas. I have opted to go back and change the shading on his sword, but with trying to keep it looking a dark evil blood red..I am not too sure, if I blending it too much almost up to orange and yellow it may give off a cartoony bright look. With keep with the mordheim background and theme I felt he should look very dark,but still have some bright areas...besides...he is UNDEAD ! Anyway...post all good and bad things you see about him...I realy tried to make him look as nice as possible. Thanks
