Flame Keeper Banner

This is my second attepmt on SENMM. I think is better than the first. The banner is based upon one that appeared in the last high elves army book and, of course, is freehand work :p. The pole has been painted with a basecoat of chaos black. Then a very thinned layer of fortress gray, another layer of thined gostly gray and a pure white line; I like the effect. The base was made in green stuff, then a marble pattern was applied using Laszlo Jakusovszky technique. The glossy efect was given using transparent glue. If u have any comments/criticism or any idea to improve this guy plz submit them! Thx, Mergram

I have this exact mini on my "Minis To Do Next" shelf. I added a longer cape and some small ribbons and badges to the banner... just for fun. But, have been mulling over the paint scheme. I like this a bunch. Especially the flames on the cloak. The gem and helmet highlights look very realistic. A beautiful mini, Mergram.

Hi Spanky, nice to see u here! The marble technique is from http://home.pacbell.net/lnlcoolj/Hot_Lead/advance/adv_main.htm by Laszlo Jakusovszky. It comes with photos an examples, and there r also wood and granite techniques :) Cya!
