What a bitter sweet scene.
It really tells a nice but dark story... If I interpret the story right that is. I take it that the goblin is not participating in the childrens game.
Took me a moment to get what the scene and the title is about, but I must say it's great to see such a subtle piece instead of a blood drenched battle scene for a change (not that I have anything against blood-drenched battle scenes!). The composition works well, I think, and the modelling is nicely done. Painting's good as well. An overall excellent piece. Thanks for posting!
