I give this a 6 because what makes it above tabletop quality to me is that it has some shading on it. The skin looks pretty good, nice and smooth although most people would do a vampire in much lighter/pallid flesh tones. This girls got a nice healthy tan like she spends all day out in the sun ;) The actual painting itself is good, but all the shading going to black is what makes it look rather drab. Try shading with colored inks, and darker washes of your base color. Also some highlighting would really make this mini stand out. Overall you did well on the skin but her clothes/cape/hair and the staff skull/bat thingy could do with some highlighting to make them stand out a little more. With a few touch ups this would rate a strong 7 and possibly an 8!

Thanks Vincegamer! You have left me my first comment ever and I appreciate it! I have the same problem with the boots and to be quite honest the camera is a great tool because it lets me see what I am doing up close!

I recommend you move beyond drybrushing. It looks as if you are partway doing that already. The reds look very well blended, as do the skintones. The boots don't though. In fact they look like they were painted by someone else. The highlighting is totally covering the front of the boots and looks to be drybrushed. Tone down, and blend more, and make the top of the boot brighter than the front. I look forward to seeing more.
