Nether Demon

This model is freakin' huge! I included a small pic to show just how large it is. The model itslef was painted in an irridescent scheme [using a number of Oakley's as reference]. It is much more striking in person with the colours really playing with your visual receptors. This model is not for beginners IMHO. The build required a fair amount of putty work [it is 25+ pieces after all].

Its very cool, but i dont think it quite works, the coloured highlights need to be moreso if they are to look irridescant IMHO. Superb conversion.

Personally, I don't like the colour scheme at all but as you said, it was probably intended to make ones eyes hurt. The blade is frightening, it reminds me of Pyramid Head's butcher knife from Silent Hill 2 which always gave me nightmares. Great idea attaching a part of wings to him, they make him look even more menacing. To me it looks as if you were a little careless with the horns, they seem unfinished. The base is awesome, like he just landed there and the flagstones couldn't resist the impact because that beast weighs 11 1/2 tons.

Okay, I'm somewhat biased as this figure was done for me, but then I'm also the only person who has seen the real thing (besides Jason). The wings are from the GW balrog, the halberd's head came with the model but the pole is pure green stuff. The back is likewise sculpted to accomodate the wings (read about it on Jason's website). The height of the figure (without the wings) is about the same as a Bloodthirster if he were standing straight up (instead of bent over). The wings put him almost a foot tall. Overall, this is the best painted figure I've ever seen. The blending and painting quality close-up are as good as the Jennifer Haley pieces I've owned, and with a few exceptions, those are far and away better than anything else I've laid eyes on. And I think the consensus on CMON agrees with me, though most have never seen a Haley or Richards piece.
