Ork Warboss on a Battle Base

This model was a lot of fun to paint, at least until I was half way through the checks! This is a great example of planning too much and then being forced to finish. In the end it makes him look very busy, or 'ork-like'. It sees me using metallic paints again for the first time in an age. While the trend is towards NMM it is important to remember that metallic paints should always have a place in an artists pallet.

Im giving it a nine only because of the... blood? Is that supposed to be blood on the ax? And like you said it is a little busy but im not grading u down for that. In my opinion metallics look better on orks.

I think this is perhaps the best painting of this model I have seen. I love grimgor anyway. If I collected Orcs, he'd be my leader. You have shamed 3/4 of the grimgor models on this page, which is the only reason I can think of to explain why your score is only 8.5.
