Eldar Serpent

Finally after a long pause I made another Eldar Mini. This will be the transporter for my Eldar army so its configurated in the cheapest way possible. It will transport my wraithguards and my farseer. On the painting: I stayed with my spotty grey (GW Shadow Grey 2:1 GW Chaos Black) colour scheme. This time I tried to blend the spotty texture to a nearly white on the top of the wings. I managed it with consitantly adding white to the Shadow Grey. If you want to try this make sure its very wet when ablied, otherwise contrast will be to high. I also tried to do better gems, because I got the critic the gems were too bright. This time I started from black base coat ( I used to start gems from white base coat and reversed it to dark). On freehand: This time I did a "real" freehand on the side. Just started to make a sketch with pencil without to many thoughts forehand. Just tried to flow with the wing structures. (It's the kind of style I paint my canvas paintings by the way). It should resemble the tentacles and the eye of Slaanesh, cause I think thats the only creature the Eldar are really afraid of. So this is a very frightening painting :) . All in all I don't think I have improved my painting much, but I'm quit happy to have finished a mini since a long time... Hope you like it anyway. Critics and Comments always welcome as usual!

Thx for your comments! I have 2 Eldar Illum zar left, so I try to make transition smoother. Still the spotty texture I choose for my army doesn't make it easy.

Good job on this one although I think You could try to make transitions between black and grey/white hull a bit more smoother :) Regards

I really like the spotty texture you did on this. I just noticed the designs painted on the glass, way cool!
