Toxic Jester

Another of Edgar Ramos' lovely sculpted Enigma line! Full of character. Wanted him to look really worn so i painted the clothes to look like they were on bright colours that had faded in the sun. Also tried using some ground pastels for the dust, which was fun. Painted the sand on the base in a white and then applied light creamy-brown pastel dust with a big makeup brush. That wasn't good enough so thanks to Genrulepoleaxe, i tried turps, which fixed it nicely. I used some reddy-brown pastel for some rust too but it isn't that strong and doesn't show up on the photos. Entered it into salute '08 but he didn't pace due to the quality of the other entries. Thanks to War Griffon for the photos!

I don't really like your choice of colours, but the dust effect on his lower legs is spot on.
