Newton - Custodian of all things lost and shiny (large pics)

Here is a resubmission of my version of Newton, the miniature is so small that i have had trouble photographing him properly. these are re-edits of my original pics. just for a sense of scale, that base is a standard 30mm slotta. my original pictures can be found at http://www.coolminiornot.com/188581 below are my original comments, copied and pasted from img 188581 This is my version of Newton, the limited edition figure Sculpted by Kev White of Hasslefree Miniatures. There have only been 200 castings of this miniature, and i was lucky enough to receive one for spending over £40.00 at the Hasslefree stand at Salute 2008...yay! This was the quickest miniature I have ever painted, it took two evenings and I started painting it on the Sunday after Salute. Prompted by his title, I have Newton eyeing some appealing looking coins that he has just spotted on the forest floor, a quick look around to make sure the coast is clear, then they will disapper into his sack with the rest of his shiny's! Thanks for looking AsgardUK

lovely piece...lonely and somehow very dangerous... for that scale you really got all myrespect... wow! An 8 for the painting, got to agree there at some parts with the herald of demons, but in fact for me a 9 because this size is just bonebreaking for painting... Keep it up! Regards jar

Thanks Demonherald! I totally agree with the critique regarding his hands, it wasnt as apparent until i saw these big pics. thankfully its an easy fix so i will define the fingers a bit more with some extra shading and then re-highlight the fingers next time i break the paints out!

love it so lonely and pathetic looking.....even on the size you have captured a nice mood and some good variation in skin colours and face.. the only critique I would give is to maybe just define the lins between the fingers a touch more... nice work
