Madpuppet Wasteland Scum Leader

This is my attempt at the fantastic Wasteland Scum Leader miniature sculpted by the very talented Edgar Ramos of Mad Puppet Miniatures. This is also the first miniature that I have finished in about 7 years. Actually there were quite a lot of first’s for me on this mini, it’s the first time I have ever done any real freehand on a 28mm model, and also the first time I had used mediums other than acrylics for the painting. There are a few bits and pieces done in enamels and also weathering using pigments. I wanted to achieve a Cyberpunk near future type look for this model, and the colour choices are inspired by a number of sources. I wanted a lo tech type cyborg feel, reminiscent of the refugee’s in Ghost in the Shell SAC but also to look like this guy could be straight from the pages of Transmetropolitan (kick ass Cyberpunk Graphic novel series). Top that off with Billy Idol bleach blond hair and some contemporary looking tattoos and I’m pretty happy with the result, he actually looks quite close to the image I had in my head when I first saw the greens for this mini. Unfortunately some of the subtleties in the highlighting and glazes have been lost in the pictures, especially on the trousers but I’m afraid that’s the best I can get with my current lighting set up… oh well nevermind Thanks for taking the time to check out my work AsgardUK
