1986 Grenadier Fire Elemental

Here is another older one that I decided to practice some sort of fire technique. I went to a party in the midst of painting this and studied the bonfire for ideas on how to base it. That was the look I decided to go for, an elemental bursting up from a campfire.

Cool! I love the Monster Manuscript minis, and I'll bet this is the only Ghost painted up as an elemental! Agree with the other comment about the dark shading - it would especially help with his eyes and mouth.

Turns out, this is from one of the Monster Manuscript box sets, and is actually a Ghost. Whooops.

Thanks so much. I see what you are saying and my cheapo camera does not always do the mini justice. The flame licks, especially near the bottom are all tipped with white, but I can see where it could use more. I tried to follow the flame tutorial on Hot-Lead.com. Thanks for the comment.
