Cygnar Heavy Warjack + Infantry: Stormclad + Stormblades

Painted these loooong ago, it seems that I was more patient back then... Painted the minis in a normal paintscheme first, then I decided to add the swirl-pattern to them. I wanted those Stormblades to be recognized as the elite that they are, so on top of that I also added the chequered pattern on the shoulderplates.

I had seen these when you posted them previously, and my opinion hasn't changed. Superb job on the armor, the lieutenant and the banner. I SO badly wish you'd taken the lesson on the "live" aspects of fabric Privateer had sculpted into their banners like this into your homemade ones. One of the few things you need to do, IMO.

The freehand is lovely - I'm not sure if all the voters have noticed the Celtic swirls on the armour - but there's just something about the paintjobs that lacks... depth. Beautiful, but just not quite a 9. Wish I could put my finger on it.
