Necron Nightbringer - UK Golden Demon Entry

Hi all.... this is the second of my two UK Golden Demon entries from this year. Having watched the judging take place (talk about nerve-wracking!) I believe this mini placed 4th or 5th, it seemed to be the last one to be de-selected when the winning three models were chosen... which considering I was really very unhappy with how it turned out (I had to really rush some bits to get him finished for the comp) was utterly incredible and a real confidence boost. I had the idea for a 'moth' cloak on a Nightbringer about a year ago, and my wife had this idea about making a mini rising out of a swarm of butterflies... so I kind of combined the ideas to try and show the butterflies turning to moths as they fell under the shadow of the Nightbringer.... hopefully the idea kinda comes across. There was quite a bit of conversion on this, the addition of the twin-scythes, extending his cloak to the floor and making the flowing tattered robes a bit longer and more dramatic. As an extra honour, this (and my other entry) have both ended up on the GW GD-06 webpage! As always... comments and constructive criticism welcomed.

Lovely work and concept. Did you mix the wings on the butterfly and moths or are they the same type just painted different? I love the cloak, it is amazing blending, looks life like, something that would come out of nature itself. A lovely interpretation of the living metal that they are made of.
