Abaddon the Despoiler Conversion

I got tired of the standard Abaddon paint scheme and felt that it was too plain for such a dynamic miniature. To convert the mini, I kept the body and the powerfist of the original and switched the head out with a fantasy undivided champion. The arm is from another 40k chaos character, Kharne the Betrayer, while the spike fin is from a dark eldar. They might be hard to see in the photos, but I added some nested circle designs on the limbs and head. I did these with my triple-0 brush and an inky paint mix of red and black. Interestingly enough the material on the base is coffee grounds, which were just what I needed as far as texture and color (only a little drybrushing was needed). I used NMM and Metallics combined wherever I felt one worked best.

Abaddon is definitely the most used to convert of all minis I think.. this one is one of the best I've seen!
