Dark Elf Underworld Style :-)

Hi! Actually this mini was the result of "playing around" with different stuff on a Saturday morning :-) so it is definitely not without errors, but I have to admit that I quite like the result. I am a huge fan of the production design of the "Underworld" movies, and watching the second movie yesterday, I tried to capture the effect of the opening scene when the medieval vampires fight in this winter/moonlight environment. The Dark Elf model was used just because it was available, and I think while this dark and monochromatic painting style may look boring on a single miniature, when applied to a unit or even a whole army, it might look really good. Additionally, it does not take a long time to paint a miniature in this way. Because I was asked which colors were used a couple of times, I list them here now: Black Undercoat BASE: GW Hideuos Blue, VGC Wolf Grey, both colors just drybrushed SKIN: VGC Wolf Grey, shaded with GW Shadow Grey and some transitions between these two colors METAL PARTS: GW Shadow Grey + Black, highlighted with GW Shadow Grey and VGC Wolf Grey REST (Clothes, Crossbow etc.): Black, highlighted with VMC Black Grey and VMC Black Grey plus VMC London Grey The rock is made with cork, the snow is model snow from "Noch - Woodland Scenics".
